The UCM 064 is the high-speed controller module in a Quintech switching system. It accepts commands from the keypad, serial interface, and/or Ethernet port and translates them into control commands for the other modules of the switching system. Each UCM 064 is equipped with a serial port labeled CONTROL IN and an Ethernet port for PC computer control and one port labeled CONTROL OUT by which it is daisy-chained to the other system modules. It is also equipped with two inter-module serial ports (REMOTE IN and REMOTE OUT) which can be used to communicate with additional Quintech Controller Modules. If desired, the UCM 064 may be fitted with an Alarm Option which warns of power supply failure.
