Quintech Electronics Purchases DEV Systemtechnik

Quintech Electronics & Communications, Inc., is pleased to announce that we have signed an agreement to purchase 100% of all shares of DEV Systemtechnik GmbH & Co. KG.
Quintech, headquartered in Indiana, PA, is a leading supplier of reliable RF signal routing equipment for over 24 years. Quintech’s product line includes matrix switches, routers, splitters, combiners, amplifiers, and LNB power supplies.

DEV Systemtechnik, headquartered in Friedberg, Germany, is a leading supplier of RF and RF over fiber signal routing equipment, including their groundbreaking Optribution® product line.

‘I am very excited with the opportunities to better serve our customers with the combined Quintech and DEV products and personnel,’ said Dan Prushnok, CEO and Chairman of Quintech. ‘Both companies represent the highest standards in product design, quality, reliability, and customer support. Quintech Electronics & Communications Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. David K. Chan as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Dr. Chan will be responsible for managing all Quintech governmental and commercial sales and marketing activities. Dr. Chan has over 18 years experience in the telecommunications Industry. Prior to joining Quintech, Dr. Chan held senior management and executive positions in R&D engineering, business development and sales and marketing. He has held these various positions with JDS Uniphase, Glimmerglass, Sunrise Telecom, Tollgrade Communications and most recently, Oplink Communications. He is a graduate of Cornell University, Ithaca New York with a B.S. Degree in Applied & Engineering Physics and a Doctorate Degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University, Evanston Illinois. “With his vast technical knowledge and experience David brings the wealth of ability necessary to promote and maintain and grow Quintech’s position as the world leader in L-band RF matrix switching systems. Quintech Electronics to be Part of MET Program at Harris

Indiana, PA, November 9, 2010:  As part of the  five-year base with one five-year option period  Modernization of Enterprise Terminal (MET) contract with an estimated ceiling price of $820M, Quintech will be providing RSS 0070 switches, SRR 2150 Switches & AMP2150  amplifiers to Harris Corporation. This will support Harris development of next generation of global military satellite communications terminals for the U.S. Department of Defense.

The MET program is going to replace as many as 80 older AN/GSC-52, GSC-39, FSC-78 satellite communications terminal around the world with the new dual simultaneous X/Kaband operation terminals. These terminals will work with the new Wideband Global Satellite constellation as well as legacy satellite systems. These systems range in size from a transportable 7.2 -meters antenna to a fixed, 12.2 -meters antenna; and will offer full electromagnetic pulse protection. These will all be part of Teleport & Standardized tactical entry points across the globe.  Harris is acting as the prime contractor and Quintech is very pleased that Harris has chosen Quintech for the project. Quintech has worked closely with Harris engineers to develop solutions that will meet the specific needs for the project.

WBNS Upgrades Facility with a Quintech Electronics XRM 2250 Matrix!

Indiana, PA, November 3, 2010:  Quintech Electronics, a leader in RF Signal Management Solutions, announced today that WBNS in Columbus, OH has purchased an XRM2250 L-Band matrix as part of a facility upgrade.
WBNS, a member of the Dispatch Group of stations was looking for a solution to more efficiently switch their large number of RF feeds to a growing set of receivers.  They have selected the XRM for the facility based on its high reliability and redundancy.
The XRM2250 features a 3-stage switch design which provides redundant RF signal paths and automated re-routing in the event of a crosspoint fault.  It features hot swappable cards, redundant power supplies, and system controller in a 6 RU design.  It also features input attenuation, built in self test capability, and serial and Ethernet control as well as a front panel display and keypad.  The XRM is compatible with most monitor and control systems.

The QE3 features a compact 64 x 64 RF matrix router in 6 RU with Q-route-Q-sense technology providing maximum reliability. Q-ROUTE provides internal signal path redundancy by automatically re-routing around a failed signal path. Q-SENSE provides external signal path redundancy by automatic switching of back-up input signals. The QE3 is a full fan-out, non-blocking RF Matrix Switch where any input can be routed to any or all outputs. The QE3 is highly scalable and can easily be expanded to a 1024 x 1024. Hot-swappable input /output cards, power supplies, and redundant control cards offer the highest level of reliability and facilitate easy replacement of failed components. The large display touch screen and embedded web browser allow front panel access to the switch or remotely via PC. The RF level at the inputs and outputs is monitored to facilitate trouble shooting network interfaces. The programmable automatic gain control (AGC) and attenuation on all inputs allows the user to adjust input signal level for optimum performance.

Quintech Introduces new LTE matrix Switch, the LTE 3000.

The LTE 3000 is a passive full fan-out matrix switch, which allows any of the 16 inputs to be routed to any or all outputs. The operating frequency range of the LTE switch covers 700 Mhz to 3 Ghz. It is perfect for use in LTE, Wimax and 4G test applications. It automates test labs by replacing cumbersome patch panels and can be controlled easily via the front panel or remotely via a web browser interface. The basic configuration for the LTE 3000 is a 16x16 switch, which can be easily expanded to larger configurations. The LTE 3000 meets strict specifications required in a lab environment to ensure no signal degradation.

Indiana PA and Crofton Maryland – Quintech Electronics & Communications Inc today announced that it has expanded its commitment in the Government Market by opening an office in Crofton Maryland, convenient to FT Meade.

The office, located at 1684 Village Green Suite 1, Crofton MD 21114, will support Quintech’s Government clients and marks the addition of the Government Services Division.

Quintech’s Government Sales Team will be headquartered in the Crofton office run by Randy Witten, VP of Government Sales and managed by Tuesdi Knight.
Mr. Witten has over 30 years experience servicing the US and NATO in SATCOM, Networking and Telecommunications.  Prior to joining Quintech, Mr. Witten was President of Norsat America, Director of Government Sales for Telecommunications Systems Inc, Vice President of Sales for Newpoint Technologies, and Director of Government Sales for Loral Skynet.

Ms. Knight comes to Quintech from Hargrove Inc where she was the Account Manager for the SE's Division.  Some key highlights of her career include events for AARP and WBENC, the Fannie Mae Walk for the Homeless, CEA's Digital Patriots Forum, the Antarctic Treaty and the 2009 Presidential Inaugural.  Prior to her service at Hargrove, Ms. Knight  was an Event Specialist for the Marriott Global Meetings and Special Events Team for Marriott Headquarters.

Quintech Electronics and Communications, Inc., an Indiana, PA based manufacturer of RF (Radio Frequency) signal management and matrix switching equipment for the broadcasting and communications industry, announced today that it has established an R&D office at the UPARC campus in Harmar, PA.

The purpose of the new office will be to move the Company’s Research and Development activities closer to engineering and technological talent available in the greater Pittsburgh area. The Company looks to expand relationships with knowledge and educational institutions such as the University of Pittsburgh, CMU, Penn State New Kensington and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, North Pointe campus. These institutions, along with other technology companies may desire to collaborate with the Company in its efforts to expand its global presence in RF signal management solutions. The Company will actively pursue opportunities in emerging next generation wireless communications and optical networking markets.

INDIANA, PA, January 30, 2007 —  Superior Satellite Engineers (SSE) and Quintech Electronics have collaborated to design a cost-effective new LNB redundancy solution for satellite antennas with prime focus feed systems.  Previously, LNB redundancy has only been available for an antenna with sub-reflectors and LNB’s mounted at the back of the antenna hub. This option has always been prohibitively expensive for most users.  The new SSE/Quintech LNB Redundancy solutions are comprised of the RSP 2150 Redundancy Switch, which supports a backup antenna, and SSE’s Parallel Feed System Solution.  The Parallel Feed System Solution uses a single antenna with a motorized feed horn platform that enables a backup feed horn and LNB’s in case of LNB or Power Module failure of the primary feed horn. The RSP 2150 Redundancy Switch senses a reduction in RF energy below a preset threshold and commands the backup switching sequence.  Dual, parallel DC Power Supplies provide redundant power and are “hot-swappable”, enabling PSU maintenance without taking the system off line.

This new redundancy switch marks the second major joint-venture between SSE and Quintech. The two companies will be co-exhibiting at Satellite 2007 (Booth #449).
